Family Practice

Family Practice providers are skilled at preventative and diagnostic care for patients of all ages, from infants to adults. Our group of family practitioners can care for individuals within the framework of the entire family. In addition, they offer occupational health physicals and a variety of on-site screening tools: colonoscopy for colon cancer screening, and cardiac stress testing.

Dr. Carl Thomas

A fellow of American Board of Family Medicine and is a board certified in Family Practice.  In addition to being a Certified Medical Review Officer, he is a senior FAA/ATC examiner and an immigration examiner.  He has been with Fairbanks Clinic since 1990.

Dr. Joan Thomas

A fellow of American Board of Family Medicine, and board certified in Family Practice.  Like her husband, she is a Certified Medical Review Officer and immigration examiner.  She has been with Fairbanks Clinic since 1994.

Anna Fath, ANP

Grew up in Philadelphia and after graduation from Presbyterian School of Nursing in 1972 entered in the US Army Nurse Corps. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing and Behavioral Science from Chaminade University and Oakland University respectively. She received a Masters of Science from Georgetown University and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys everything medical and believes patient education and health literacy are essential components of care. Anna is married and mother of two adult sons. Sher enjoys cooking, fishing, cross-country skiing, kayaking and quilting.

Female Health

Currently we have one provider in our Female Health department, providing a range of women's health care and gynecologic appointments.

Marjorie Allan, RN, ANP

Marjorie Allan, RN, ANP is a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from University of Arizona with a BS in Nursing in 1978. In 1986 she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University. Marjorie has lived in Fairbanks for 16 years. She provides health care in the areas of family planning, prenatal care, annual exams, menopause management, and general women’s health care throughout the lifespan.


Our pediatric providers specialize in the care of children, from newborn infants to teens. Our practice consists of two pediatricians. In addition to well child checks and acute illness, they commonly care for children with complicated medical problems and manage chronic medical conditions of childhood such as diabetes, asthma, and seizure disorders.

Dr. Letha Archer

Dr. Letha Archer completed her pediatric residency in 1998 from Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN.  Most of her past positions have been in rural areas without immediate access to specialty care.  She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, caring for newborns thru teenage patients.

Paulle Richard, APRN

Paulle Richard, APRN is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Clovis Community College with her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2010. In 2017 she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and is board certified as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She provides health care and education from birth through young adulthood. Paulle moved to Fairbanks in 2013. When not working, she enjoys being outdoors and participating in sport activities with her husband and two school age sons.
